After the great success of the 2007 sale, the city of Toulouse, which saw the birth of the mythical European supersonic, will host a new exceptional auction of collector coins related to the Concorde, on 3, 4 and 5 November.
This sale will take place at the Saint-Aubin Auction House, along the Canal du Midi, in the heart of the pink city.
More than 1000 lots will be offered for sale. On-board instruments (anemometer, machmeters, flight horizon, etc.), mechanical parts and souvenirs from the glorious era of Concorde (models, cutlery)/ You will also find structural parts as well as seats and an exceptional wooden marquette of the supersonic aircraft signed by André Turcat, the very first Concorde pilot.
Aviation-related collectibles and parts from other aircraft will also be on sale. Seats from the Airbus A300 (the very first Airbus) or models or parts from the Airbus A380.
Estimates range from 15 euros for minor parts to 7,000 euros for the most sought-after parts such as machmeters, altimeters, or flight horizons. Intermediate estimates concern photographs, sketches, structural, electronic or mechanical aircraft parts.
Small budgets can indulge with a menu Concorde Air France illustrated by Christian Lacroix or Raymond Moretti (estimate 50-80 €) or a plate drawn by Andrée Putman (150-300 €) while the most daring will be able to acquire rare pieces, propitious to the most diverse creations, at a time when the industrial design is raging with in particular a pair of armchairs, a tire or a sink of Concorde.
All the pieces will be exhibited at the Saint-Aubin Auction House, from Saturday, October 22, 2016 to Sunday, October 30, 2016.
